Would you like to volunteer with us?

The Hypatia Trust relies on the enthusiasm and commitment of our wonderful volunteers. Our volunteers are passionate about women’s stories and histories, and enjoy selling books, learning about archives and collections, and working with arts and cultural events. All volunteers enjoy a discount in our Bookshop and on tickets to Hypatia events, as well as other opportunities to get involved in our other program, operations, and gatherings.

We currently have roles available in the Bookshop, Archive, and at our events, supporting our programs, and assisting with communications and publicity.

Interested? Please send us an email to catb@hypatia-trust.org.uk and we will be in touch. In your email please include:

  • your name and mobile number;

  • what days you are available;

  • which roles you might be interested in; and

  • a brief description of what makes you a great fit for The Hypatia Trust, including what inspired you to connect, and any relevant skills or experiences you may have. We are keen to learn more about you!

THANK YOU!

We look forward to hearing from you.

Do you have a passion for Women’s history and art?

You might be a fit as a volunteer with our Women in Cornwall or Cornwall Artists Index projects.

Women in Cornwall is an archive documenting the lives and achievements of women in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. Women have made significant contributions to this region and we aim to foreground their stories, moving women from the margins of history to the centre. A new function of the archive allows anyone to suggest an entry to our growing archive of over 600 remarkable women.

Cornwall Artist Index preserves and make accessible the invaluable history of the art and artists of Cornwall. The Cornwall Artists Index seeks to celebrate and promote this rich artistic heritage.

Join our volunteer team to guide contributions and other additions onto the site. No editorial experience necessary, just passion and enthusiasm for these unique regional initiatives.
